History

Progressive Fitness began with one trainer, owner Jennifer Opaka in 2000. A small personal training company contracted by a private gym to offer personal training to a broad spectrum of clients of all ages and fitness levels. As clients began to experience amazing transformation’s through Jennifer’s unique training program Progressive Fitness grew at a rapid rate, from one trainer to ten in under 8 months.
 
In order to accommodate the growing number of clients Jennifer launched the first “Team Training Program.” Its success was bigger than Jennifer had every anticipated. “The concept of training a group of people with individual attention at a fraction of the cost of personal training, it just took off.” It became so popular it outgrew the gym Jennifer was training in.
 
Next stop, Progressive Fitness Studio, we started out at the end of Newport Avenue, right above South Beach, now we have 2 training studios. Progressive Fitness Studio I fully equipped with the latest in cutting edge training equipment. With Progressive Fitness Studio II scheduled to open September of this year. Our sister studio The Vault Fitness & Yoga Studio located adjacent to Studio II offering the latest in fitness from Zumba to Pilates Mat.
 
The evolution of Progressive Fitness has been an experience and a privilege, I can not take the credit though, and that belongs to my clients. Through their support and encouragement and always willing to try new programs and think outside the box, we have grown and continue to grow. Just by listening to our clients and implementing suggestions we have become the amazing fitness studios that we are today.
